Home sales increase 10%
Sacramento Business Journal
Sales of all homes in the four-county Sacramento area in December increased by 10.7 percent compared with November, to 3,422 new and existing homes, and were well higher than the same period of 2007, home analyst MDA DataQuick reported Wednesday.
Median sales prices for all homes continued to fall, and stood at $176,000 in Sacramento County and $317,250 in Placer County. The data includes new and existing homes and condos. DataQuick, of La Jolla, uses information about home sales from county recorder offices.
Last week, Trendgraphix Inc. reported 2,451 existing home sales in the same area through the local multiple listing service.
